BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Breeding conditions:

Thirty-two nests and broods of Snowy Owl were found. Pomarine and Long-tailed Skuas also bred at high densities. Arctic Foxes bred everywhere. Breeding waders were undoubtedly successful: broods of Grey Plover, Eastern Golden Plover, Turnstone, Dunlin, Pectoral Sandpiper and Knot were found.
 

Rodent dynamics:

Lemmings reached peak numbers - lemming index 27.9.
